Starz Plus Primary Service (powered by eSchools)
Starz Plus is the new Online Learning Platform or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) used by pupils across Cambridgeshire Primary, Nursery and Special Phase schools. The ICT Service manages the online site to inspire and support users, going far beyond delivering just the technology.
Vibrant learning communities have been built within Starz Plus with a centrally managed range of resources, activities and projects open to schools and pupils who participate. The ICT Service is proud of the way that it ican support teachers to inspire children to share and learn. A learning platform like this also has a role to play as a key tool for developing pupils’ esafety skills and helping them to keep safe whenever they are online.
There are some significant and exciting changes for the academic year 2013/14 as The ICT Service has a new partnership with eSchools to deliver the technology behind the New Starz Plus Learning Platform Service launching in September 2013.
Schools can be assured that by signing up to the annual New Starz Plus service they will benefit from an updated learning platform and the dedicated support and extra guidance services provided by the ICT curriculum advisors.
